JAV idol Ami Ayukawa was born in Tokyo on February 18, 1981, and at the age of 18 entered AV. Ami Ayukawa was highly regarded by fans for her breathless “acting” while in a role (or vice versa). Often playing submissive characters, Ami Ayukawa also appeared in cosplay and S&M/bondage in her videos. The Japanese magazine Flash named Ami Ayukawa the #1 AV star in the industry in a survey of the top 30 stars in 2001. After 7 years in the business, Ami Ayukawa retired in 2006.
