Sonoya Mizuno was born in Tokyo and grew up in England where she studied ballet, graduating from the Royal Ballet School and performing with several major dance groups, before moving into modelling and making a foray into acting.
Ex Machina is her first role in a major film, and while she is the supporting actress, there are really only four characters in the film. She has other works in the pipeline including Jazzy, due for release later this year—I certainly look forward to it.
